ikimilikiliklik, The World of JA Artze is a journey through the poetic work of JA Artze from the 70's till nowadays. Popularly known as the author of the lyrics of iconic songs interpreted by Mikel Laboa such as ´Txoria txori´, ´Gure bazterrak´ or ´Zaude lasai´, JA Artze conceals a profound and little-known work that has been developed in various fields of art (poetry books, audio recordings and stage performances) and relates with such well-know references as Laurie Anderson or John Cage.
ikimilikiliklik, The World of JA Artze is an audiovisual installation designed to discover the work of the artist through the immersion in his world of images, music and sound. The title of the exhibition refers to the performance ¨ikimilikiliklik bidekidekaria¨, an artistic experience carried out by JA Artze, Mikel Laboa and Jexux Artze in the ´70s. This multimedia performance - music, poetry and image - caused a cultural shock at that time and was shown not only in Basque Country, but also in Madrid, Paris and even at La Biennale di Venezia (1976).
